| The Children and Young People’s Plan 2009-11 (CYPP) has now been published and is available to download.
|
This plan sets out our vision, shared ambitions and our responsibilities as partners and together, we have developed 10 priorities linked to the Every Child Matters outcomes. The plan will have implications for any services affecting children – children’s social services, schools and youth services, housing, transport, regeneration, leisure services and health services. From a practical point of view, the CYPP means closer joined up working between our children’s services and external partners to provide services focused on the specific needs of children and young people – and to Think Family. To support this partners in Essex are moving towards a more formal partnership arrangement by developing a Children’s Trust that will drive integrated service delivery – making better use of our resources to more efficiently and effectively deliver our common aims. The Children’s Trust is made up of statutory and non statutory partners and over the next two years we will work together to drive forward the aspirations of the Children and Young People’s Plan to make a real difference to the lives of our children, young people and their families. |
