Conflict

Pupils explored a range of artists work around the theme of conflict. They combined the style and approach of two artists and translated and developed their ideas into three dimensions. This pupil looked at Picasso’s painting of Guernica and the work of the American artist Roy Lichtenstein.

In these card reliefs these pupils have successfully analysed the content and style of both artists.
They have adapted and refined their ideas to suit the purpose given them in the design brief.
They have manipulated the materials well and used colour effectively to produce a sense of contrast which reflects Lichtenstein’s approach.
